David Schmidt graduated from the department in 2002, and has since joined a business partner in founding a company called Integrated Biomass. Since the companies inception, it landed a deal to supply Enterprise Highschool with chips for its biomass heating system and opened up a new wing to create densified fire-logs, that allow for far more efficient conversion to heat.
